Default Maytag timer issue

I have a Maytag PYE2300AYW that runs indefinitely. The timer does not make any noise when dryer is started and never cycles to off. Do I most likely need a timer or could it be something else? (The resistor on the timer?) Any troubleshooting help would be appreciated!! Thanks.

Sounds like the timer.

Does it do this in both auto dry and timed dry cycles?

Does it still dry your clothes good?

If yes to both of these answers, then its likely your timer is bad.

If the timer does not move in just auto dry, then its likely your Resistor assembly.
