Gas Range Oven not heating up with "Lock" code
Brand:
Maytag
Age:
1-5 years
I have a Maytag Gas Range, Precision Touch Control 500 about 5 years old. The oven quit heating up. Only got warm and "Lock" light comes on. Everything else is working fine, the top burners work fine, but still the oven does not heat up. I unplugged and waited several mintues then plugged back in. Lock light came on. I pressed "Cancel" and "Cook & Hold" touch pads according to manual. "Lock" light went out, but when I turned it on again(Bake), the "Lock" light activated again and would not shut off no matter what I did. If the problem is in the touch pad, is it expensive and/or difficult to replace?
Thanks

Yes, the clock oven control board is malfunctioning.
Here's the clock oven control board for your model(diagram on their site shows how to access it):
WHIRLPOOL 74009153 Clock/overlay (bsq), AP4097534 | AppliancePartsPros.com
Turn the breaker off or unlpug your range first.
