Default maytag neptune washer turns itself off!

My maytag washing machine mah3000 keeps turning itself off. The machine will start and run for one or two minutes the door will lock and then the washer turns itself off. It does this no matter what cycle the washer is on. I would appreciate any help you could offer.

Sounds like either a bad latch switch, or machine board.

Here is a couple links that should help:

Hi all,

A bad motor control board can also do that....

Default My Maytag Neptune is doing exactly the same thing

No matter what cycle, the machine just turns itself off. I notice the door lock light is on, but after just a few seconds, the machine turns off. Jake, I've been told that possibly one of the micro switches that the wax motor controls may be defective. I see that this person had the same problem. What is the latch that you are talking about? If you can point me to the part - I'll replace it before I replace the control board.
