We left the door open and the back wall unassembled all night. It was bone dry this morning.

I haven't noticed this personally, but my wife mentioned that it is cycling really fast. She says she heard it cut on, run for a minute, then cut back off. So, while I know the fan is working, maybe it's not being told to work? Could the evaporator thermostat in the freezer be the issue?

Do you have all together, back wall on? It's not usual to have two seperate problems. You replaced the heater and defrosted it ,should be working. You might need to have a tech look at it.

    Resolution:

Had a tech come out. Told him everything I had done, looked at, tested, etc. He pulled the back panel off of the freezer and immediately determined the problem to be the evaporator fan motor. While the fan was turning, it wasn't turning nearly fast enough. Having never seen what "normal" looks like, I had no idea. So, $40 and a new fan motor later, my fridge is back at 40 degrees, and my freezer is at 0.

Thank you for all your help!
