Default Maytag Performa won't drain on delicate cycle

Model PAV 3200 AWW
I got this washer from a well meaning relative and it works pretty well except if I run it on the Delicate/Slow setting it does not drain. The timer progresses to the end of the cycle but the tub is still full of water. If I use the Regular/Fast setting the machine works fine. If I start it on Regular/Fast and then switch it to Delicate/Slow it also works. Could someone suggest how I could go about fixing this?
Thanks in advance,
Ed

Hi,

It sounds like either the belt underneath is worn out and slipping, or the motor pivot/plate is not moving properly.

This website should help:
