changed sink taps, now dishwasher won't drain!

Age:
6-10 years
I am in the UK 
. My husband replaced the sink taps and now the dishwasher will not drain. We don't have a disposal. Can anyone help??? Thank you!!!!!

This is a European Maytag model which means we don't have any tech. data information on it here in the USA.
