    Default Maytag front loader

    Model Number: Mah6500aww
    Brand: Maytag
    Age: 6-10 years

Suddenly, the cycle times are double or triple what they used to be. Times seem to change randomly. It takes forever to do a wash load.

Sounds like your control board is malfunctioning.

Whats the serial# of your washer?

There is a tech. data sheet in your console that has diagnostics tests you can run as well to see if you get any error codes.

Tech data sheet in my console? Not sure what you mean. Is there any help for how to replace the control board?

I don't see an OF error code on your model.

There will be about 3 or 4 screws on the backside of your control panel, once you remove the screws the control panel should tilt forward and there should be a tech. data sheet you will then see, Unplug your washer first.

Here's the control board for your model:

Wow. I'm learning more than I want.
i opened up the top and found the trouble shooting guide.
    codes: 03 & 17

    Control board input test:
    All good except these.....
vibration- not a specific value, but in the 20s. First digit definetely a 2. Second digit seemed to be constantly changing.
    brown out- 00

    Output test:
    Bleach valve- nothing happened
    softener valve- nothing happened
    hot water- tested good
    coldwater- little or no flow
motor control- click but no motor sound

Took off water hoses and verified good water flow when not connected to washer.

    Thanks for your help.

Also, OF code was probably a PF.

Yes, your getting some strange readings from that diagnostics test, so I'd say your control board itself is malfunctioning.

You can order the control board I posted above, if when you install it the problem still persist you have 365 days to return it for a full refund, less shipping.

One thing I noticed was the coldwater: little or no flow. If you verified you have good water pressure on the cold side to the washer, check your water inlet valve screen(Where you connect the cold side fill hose to), you may have sediment in it, that would cause the washer to take forever to fill in rinse with cold water.

Before buying the new control board, I am concerned about the lack of cold water and bleach and softener. I saw a group of distribution valves. Could it be the valves?
