Jeez - - this must be my month for Maytag breakdowns........

My Neptune Washer (about 3 years old) has sprung a leak!

I noticed a good amount of water coming out from underneath the washing machine.

Took a quick look last night - - the hot and cold input look nice and dry. Water seems to be coming out from somewhere underneath.

To do a quick check, I mopped the floor and then ran just a spin cycle - - it seems that as soon as I ran the spin cycle, more water started to come out from underneath the washer.

I would apprecaite info from the group on where I should start looking on this unit.

thanks all,

Kerry

Hi,

**My Neptune Washer (about 3 years old) has sprung a leak!**

Model#?

http://www.applianceaid.com/model.htmlSome model# helps.

Most common leaking trouble makers I have seen are a tear in the rubber door boot, drain pump for the water and dispensor hoses on the stacked unit.

**Took a quick look last night - - the hot and cold input look nice and dry. Water seems to be coming out from somewhere underneath**

Couldn't pin point where the water was comming from....front/back/sides??

jeff.

Jeff - - the model number of the Maytagwasher is:

MAH5500BWW

I've not been able to pinpoint where the water is actuallycoming from - - I need to move some stuff around to do get a better view, but it does appear as if it is coming from somewhere within thelower partof the washer (could also be drippingdown fromsomewherefurther up)- - I see asmall amount of water on the floorat the front, with a much heaver seepage from the left side (looking at machine from front).

Do you have any suggestions on how/where to start the troubleshooting process with this unit?

thanks,

Kerry

G'day,

**Do you have any suggestions on how/where to start the troubleshooting process with this unit?**

Load of clothes, remove the front panal and reinstall the door so you can run a load with the front panal off, and have a flash light handy.

That's what a tech would do

jeff.
