    Default Maytag Bravos XL MVWB850YW0 Error Code F:54

    Model Number: MVWB850YW0
    Brand: Maytag
    Age: Less than 1 year

    I had purchased a Maytag Bravos XL floor model from an auction.

    The washing machine powers up and pours water into the tub, but right when it is about to spin, it receives an error code F:54.

    I had an authorized maytag repair person come and inspect it and he said it was a faulty rotor.

    The bill was $241.60 for parts and $135.00 for labor = total: $331.60 .

    I noticed that Maytag has a 1 year warranty that covers the rotor and labor.

    Will this qualify under the maytag warranty? I did register it on the website.

    I can't imagine this model being more than 1 year old.

    If its not covered under warranty, is it worth it to fix it at this point?

    *If* it was still under warranty, why did they qoute you?
    Call Maytag/Whirlpool and ask!

    If its not covered under warranty, is it worth it to fix it at this point?
    If the rest of the washer is still in good shape, sure....JMO!
