Default Door light switch broken off

My wife broke off the door light switch and now the light in the fridge is always off. Is this an easy thing to replace myself? Or will I likely need to call for service? I don't have my model number at the moment, but hopefully someone will have an idea.

Thanks!
Don

Yes, its fairly easy to replace. Unplug the refrigerator, or turn the breaker off to it, then that switch just prys out with a screwdriver.

Here is help for the model# look-up:

Default Broken Refrigirator light Switch

I have the exact same problem (though it was me who broke it, not my wife ). Same Maytag Light Switch http://www.repairclinic.com/referral...=1265&N=915043
Since I read it is an easy task I already ordered the part from them, but I haven't pulled the old one out yet.
I wonder how do you deal with the connectors once you pull the old one out. Is there a need to reach inside, or you just push it into place?

Thanks!
Doron

The switch should pull out with the wiring connectors on them, then just change the wires over to the new one, and push it back in place.
