Default Maytag dryer won't heat

I could not get my Whirlpool gas dryer to heat so I bought a new Maytag gas dryer (Model # MDG7658AWW). It worked great for about a week but now does the same problem my old dryer was doing. It runs but will not heat. The gas line is on. Sounds like a gas line problem to me or maybe a fuse or breaker and not a dryer problem since both dryers would run but not heat. Any suggestions?
Thank you~

Hi,

Has the venting and vent hood been cleaned out lately?

Still under warranty? If yes, call for a warranty service call.

A copy:
Q - My gas dryer will not heat, what could stop my dryer from heating ?
A - Things that could stop a gas dryer from heating:
- glow bar igniter ... - thermal fuse( not all models! ) ... - coils on the gas valve ... - gas valve ... - thermostats ... - motor heat switch ... - timer ... - selector switch ... - sensor ...
A page for checking gas dryers is here.

All venting was cleaned completly when we replaced the old one with the newer dryer just recently. I bought the new dryer from a friend so no warranty. It's about 3 yrs. old. I'm guessing a gas line problem since both dryer would run but not heat...

Or a big coincidence since the Maytag worked for a while.

Local gas conpany can check the line/pressure for you.
