Default Maytag Frid Model MSD2356AEW

Hi, after I lifted the the little round lid under the button panel (icemaker stop arm) while the door was opened to do some cleaning...the buttons panel wont respond anymore...the light is on at all time now...Any ideas how I would get around this problem??? Greatly appreciate...
