Maytag MFI2568AEW Icemaker installation
I bought this new frig about a month ago and the icemaker quite last week. I have a new icemaker but I can't figure out how to install it. The electrical cable is too short and I can't get it connected.
Anyone have a suggestion??

So if I'm understanding correctly, you bought a new refrigerator that came with an Ice maker already installed, and it was working till now?
Did you buy a new ice maker? Because your warranty on your new refrigerator would have paid for a tech. to come out and fix it for free. Jake

That's right. Maytag sent me a new icemaker but the repairman can't come till the 12th of July. It looks pretty simple to install - there is only one screw in it and the electrical connection. I thought I could get my icemaker up and running for the holiday BBQ but guess I'll have to wait for the repairman. Not sure the repairman knows anymore than I do about it. When he order the new icemaker for me he said that was the first time he had seen this model.. He didn't even know where the icemaker was located

Yes, hes right, This is a brand new model, I have never seen it either.
I wouldn't try to install it, He has a special Maytag factory phone number he can call, and the factory tech. will walk him through installing it.  Jake
