WhenI dispense water or ice through the door the switch sometimes sticks. Is there a simple repair for this or is there a part I must replace. Thanks, John

Hi,

**WhenI dispense water or ice through the door the switch sometimes sticks**

Just the water?...or the ice as well?

A sticky mirco-switch is common, but normally effects both rather than just one of the dispensors operations.

Dispensor switch

The switch is #11 here

I put the switch in and it was still sticking. The plastic wedge that is part of the rubber cover was binding between the switch and housing. I used some Pam spray oil and it is working good now. We'll see how long that lasts, I might have to replace the cover. John

Keep an eye on whom is doing what.....have noticed my own kids have a glass of something sticky like freeshie, and then dispense a cube or two into a full glass of the sticky freeshie splashing all over our mechanism and pad making ours a sticky mess.

Glad to hear that, thankx for the update!

Like Jeff says, the usual cause of this is sticky splashes. Ice first, then Coke/whatever!
