Aston is on a distinguished road
Default Maytag Atlantis MAV6200AWW full of water and seems to have no power.

I have had problems with the lid switch on my Maytag Atlantis MAV6200AWW in the past but when the lid switch was broken the machine would not agitate but would however still fill up with water when I changed the water level setting.

Now the problem is as if the machine has no power. When I change the water level setting to add water nothing happens and when I change the cycle setting nothing happens. I would like to determine if the timer is at fault as it appears that the timer has to be activated to allow any of the machine functions to perform, but I do not know how to test it for trouble.

Do you have any suggestions for the testing of the timer or further suggestions for the fix as I am trying to avoid buying a $30.00 repair manual.

Thank you in advance you help is appreciated.

Hi,

This may sound silly, but make sure your wall outlet is good, plug something else into it, like a lamp. Make sure you plug it in the exact same outlet as your washer is plugged into.

If that checks ok, then its possibly a bad timer.
You would need a volt/ohm meter to test voltage at your timer.
