I have a new maytag fridge, model # MFI20568AES, french doors, bottom mount freezer.

I had it installed on Sep 15, 06. Have been using it since then without a water filter. Today I finally got around to putting the water filter in. I followed the instructions in the manual, removed the blue cap, put the water filter in, closed the door. Tried the water dispense and it didn't work. So I removed the filter, and put the blue cap back on, to see if the filter was the problem, the water dispenser still doesn't work. The ice dispenser works fine, and all other buttons and features are working fine, but no water comes out of the water dispenser. I played around with the blus cap to make sure it was secured, etc and all seems fine. Does anyone have any ideas?

Your model may have a water tank that needs to fill up before water comes out. Try it again, but this time hold the water dispenser button in for a minute or 2 to see if water starts coming out.

If it still doesn't, you will need to contact Maytag in Canada to have a tech. come out for free to check it.
