Default Maytag washer blows fuse

I have an older Maytag top loading washer (LAT8600AAW) that when the main pull switch is pulled, just blows the fuse. Any ideas on where to start looking? What is the usual suspects in cases like this?

Thanks in advance,

Stan

Default Found it!!

Turned out that the second Lid Swich's (white micro switch) actuator was stuck in and causing a short when the lid was closed.

Glad you found the problem.

Yes, I changed alot of these in the 90's.
