Default Frosty Frost-Free Jenn Air Refrigerator

We have a 10 year old JennAir JRT199 refrigerator. Other than an occasional time or two of having the freezer feel warmer than we thought it should, we've had no problems with it. A few months ago, we finally got around to adding an ice machine but otherwise have done nothing other than clean it since it was installed. Today, there was no fan noise and the items in the freezer and on the top shelf of the fridge were both covered in ice crystals. We fiddled around, unplugged it etc then all of a sudden, the motor went back on. We have no idea why. Now the freezer is colling like mad, but the fridge doesn't seem to be getting cold very quickly. Of course, it is the day before Thanksgiving. What we're trying to figure out is if this is a one time kind of problem or something that heralds the beginning of the end. What is the lifespan of one of these? Any ideas much appreciated.

Its possible your intake air duct into your refrigerator section is clogged with frost/ice.

Put your hand in the very inside back top of your refrigerator ceiling, kind of in the middle, slightly right of middle, to feel if any cold air is coming out from the air duct, that has the Styrofoam in it.
