I have a maytag (dependable care) washing machine that wont rinse or go thru the spin cycle. Everything comes out soaked!!! I want to fix it but when I went to the maytag store the guy told me it would be an expensive fix!! Is he lying to make a sale? I have a serial number if that helps anyone??

I also just noticed that the inside drum (??) the round part where you put your clothes is VERY loose! I can move it with my hand back and forth. UH OHHHH! I fear I have to buy a new machine?

TURNS OUT THERE WAS A SOCK IN THE DRUM!! THANK GOD FOR THAT! My replair guy also said that this model is the last good model made by maytag untill amana took over, and now whirlpool is joining maytag. So they are all going to suck. He said to stick to Kenmore next time. New maytags are all junkie!!!

I'm glad you got it fixed.

New Maytag's are not junkie, The next washer I buy will be a new Maytag, Yes they had some issues with the Neptune, but they have fixed all of that.

Amana went bankrupt in 2001, Maytag bought Amana. Now Whirlpool bought Maytag. All the Kenmore washers with the model# starting with 110 are made by Whirlpool.
