Default Maytag (PSD268LGEW) side by side does not cool

The freezer and refrigerator are both warm. After a number of hours the freezer went on for a while and made a load of ice. The refrigerator section was still warm. The ice then melted and the freezer is warm again.

I have been told that this is probably the adaptive defrost board. Does this sound right?

No, this looks like an Amana built Maytag. Take out the food in your freezer, do you see frost build up on the back freezer panel?

How old is this refrigerator?

Jake

I would also check the fan by the compressor to make sure it's working.

I do not see frost and it is too warm for frost. The refrigerator is 3 years old.

You may have a bad compressor. Check your warranty on the sealed system. It may be 5yrs.
