Default Jenn-air JCDE2289AE dispenser problems

A friend of mine has a Jenn-air JCD2289AE Side by Side Fridge. He asked me to take a look at it over the holidays and I couldn't fix it of figure out what is wrong with it. He had broken off the ice maker stop line which we fixed with little issue. The problem is the whole dispenser control section on the door is dead. No lights, water, or ice. Any ideas on troubleshooting this model. I did a search but could find nothing that matched the model #. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated as I do not like to look stumped to anyone .

It sounds like your power connector came loose. Look under the freezer door top and bottom hinge covers for that connector.

Thanks for the quick reply. I asked him to check the connectors on the top and the bottom and he said that the bottom hinge is the water connection and the top hinge has the electrical but it was connected and has power. Then he said he took apart the front panel. He says there is 2 circuit boards inside. One has 2 lines that are not connected. One appears to have peeled off and the other looks to be burnt. His guess was to either replace the board or fix the connections. Any idea of part #'s and pricing on the boards he is refering too?

Well he took apart the door again and took some pictures. The above board is correct but there is another board in the door 2nd pic. Should we just replace these and hope it works? Is this a common problem with these? Or if we get the boards and replace them will they just blow up again?

The board in that first photo is your front display board, its not likely that board is bad, I change more other the other boards in photo 2.

Yes, if you order the board from the part link I posted above and it doesn't work, you can return it for a full refund.
