Maytag Neptune Control Board Issue
Hello Everyone,
I had a repair man come to my house to install the main control board for a maytag neptune mah4000awww. One of the three pin connectors was not seated correctly. One pin wasnt connected at all, therefore pins 2 and 3 were off from where they needed to be.
The connector that was off is connector P4. The blue wire wasnt connected at all and the red wire was on the number 1 position and the yellow wire was on the number 2 position.
My question is what would be the result when you started the washing machine. The original maytag repair man that came out to do the diagnostic told me that if the machine board isn't connected properly, then it can short out the motor control board.
Oddly enough, when the guy who installed the machine board started up the washer it wouldnt spin. He further diagnosed the issue and told me that the motor control board needed to be replaced.
Any information on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thats a good question, but I don't have the answer. I have replaced hundreds of these machine boards myself and never had a problem, I always double check that all the connectors are on tight and correctly.
I sure wouldn't pay for this repair, since he didn't install it properly, you need to contact Maytag to get another company out to see whats going on.
