Default Admiral WC420082 Washer

Hello,
Happened to have tripped accross this forum while looking up a problem i'm having with my washer, very happy to have found it.
Was doing laundry with the above model washer today and after it filled up with water the unit stopped. Removing the water from the tub with cup in hand i attempted to turn the center agitator, it was rock solid, would not budge & there was a buzzing sound coming from the washer. So being a bit mechanically inclined i took the exterior off the washer. When powering the unit there is a buzzing sounds coming from the back, where the hot / cold water comes in. There's a unit back there with 2 pairs of double prongs with electical connectors attach. Pulled that unit off, took it apart, i can see no clogs of any sort in it and water passes freely through it. Tried to power the washer on with it disconnected but nothing happens. Must complete a circuit i guess.
Now while i had the unit apart i decided to rotate the bottom pulley system to see if i could get the agitator in the tub to move arround. I began to spin without a problem and still does. I can turn it freel from inside the tub and from the pulley below now, all the spots where the belt happens to wrap arround turn freely from what i can see as well.
So i'm cureious if it's the buzzing from the back that might be the culprit, is there a way to test it without running to the store and buying a new one? Again i dispantled it, without the plastic section attached where the water comes in and it hooked up it's still making a buzzing sound, can't figure it out. Thanks in advance for any replies
