Hi guys,
I am glad there is a forum for these type of things. I gotta a problem with the ice maker. It has been working fine for a long period of time and all of a sudden stopped working. This is what I did, I removed the icemaker and found that the pipe who bring the water into the ice tray was frozen. I fixed that and have seen some water coming out. Little by little. After done this I put everything back together and i have a leak of water from the ice tray. Anyway, I left the ice tray to iced the water to see if it is working properly. I was thinking to fix the leak later. Well, I came back after 2 hours and there is no ice cubes in the bucklet. The icemaker is mostly covered with ice. It seems to be the water was coming out and out and it never stopped until all froze. I am not sure how to start and what to test first. I was thinking to start with the inlet valve. Let me know what do you think..... Many thanks... Last edited by 300zxmuro; March 10th, 2007 at 02:58 PM.. Reason: not ready |

Hi,
Whats the model# of your refrigerator? its located inside your refrigerator section on the inside top, left or right wall. Does your model have a water dispenser in front as well? Jake

Hi Jake and thank you for your reply. The Maytag is a model RSW24E0DAE. This morning I have heard a noise from the icemaker. Annoying. It seems to be the motor was trying to eject the ice but it is frozen as I told you above.
Many thanks for your input. JC |

Ok, it sounds like its overfilling due to a worn out module contact, you will need a new ice maker.
More about it here: http://www.applianceaid.com/icemaker.html#overflowing You can order it here: (click photo for pricing/ordering information): Jake
