Question Maytag dishwasher MDB9150 won't drain

I have a maytag dishwasher. It goes through all cycles fine, but won't drain. When it tries to drain, I can here the pump try to start and then stalls immediatley. It continually does this. I don't believe there are any clog or pump problems because when it is the rinse only cycle it drains fine. One other thing I noticed. When I start the wash or drain cycles the display flickers for a moment until the dishwasher starts filling. Is this some sort of error code? I also ran through the manual test procedure using the code and everything functioned fine that it tested.
Is this a control board problem. Is aw one blog where a guy had similar problem and it turned out to be a cold solder joint on one of the relays.

Please help.

Default Is it worth it?

I have a 7 year old MDB9150 and had a drainage problem with the pump noises for a week or so that I could fix by pushing the drain button a few times but then I got the flickering light and now it stopped working all together. If it is the control panel is it work getting it fixed or should I get a new dish washer as the repair person said it would be $100-$150 for the part and another $100 for the labor. Puting $250 into a 7 year old washer seems like alot however it has been working well in the past and looks OK. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Its probably better to use the repair money to buy a new dishwasher, if yours is 7 years old. Most appliances only last about 8-15 years now.
