Default Maytag Dependable Care Washer Squeal/Sqweak on Spin Start

My 4 year old Maytag Dependable Car Washer has a moderately high pitched squeal when the spin starts. Among other problems that I have already repaired are the tub seals and new transmission. I replaced the bearings that sit on top of the main pulley wheel and the 2 new belts. I can not accurately locate the source of the squeal that seems to get quieter as the washer spins faster.

Not sure if the squeal is coming from the motor when it reverses to spin. I tried to listen with the front off, but can not locate it. There is only one other bearing that I am aware of and that is on top of the brake package, which I have not removed - no brake removal tool. Any ideas - any chance the motor needs to be replaced - still under warranty and looks like an easy replacement.
Thanks for any help

Default Motor carriage

sounds like motor Carriage is not pulling back fast/far enough special poly lube you can use other lube just wont last long or will deteriate wheels quickly. what you can do is set for spin hold open lid slightly one hand other pull back on motor slightly if sound stops you got it other wise sounds like mount stem may need replaceing if you do also replace spin bearing this is under basket and outer tub on tob of trans was maytag tech for 15 years

Default Motor Squeal

Thanks for the advice. When I changed the transmission, it included a new mounting stem repair kit. I also replaced tub bearing.

When I pulled back or pushed forward slighly on the motor, the noise changed somewhat but did not go away. I will have a look at the motor pully and set screw tomorrow, but it just seems that when it goes to spin the squeal starts - like there is a problem with the motor when it turns in that direction. Has anyone ever heard of that

Did you try to take the belts off then run the motor in that direction?

Default Squeal/Sweak

I removed the belts and spun the pulley both ways and could not hear the higher pitched sound.

We did three loads of laundry with the front off and each spin (2 spins each load) I listened with my ear close to the motor. It seems the sounds is definitely coming from the motor. If I moved the motor slightly, the sound changed but did not disappear.

Is there any chance that there is a problem with the motor when it has the full tub weight to spin.

I have read elsewhere - "Any oil which makes its way onto the pulleys or belts will cause a squeaking noise when the spin cycle starts (but the noise will go away by the time the tub is up to speed and the belt isn't slipping anymore)."

Anyone ever heard of this?

Wait, I believe what your hearing is normal, My old Maytag did that too.

Can you record the noise and upload a mp3 of it here?

I could tell you for sure if its normal.
