Default Maytag MTB1956GE Condenser fan

My condenser fan has been running continually for the past 2 days again! The evaporator fan has not and it's getting warmer! I just had the evaporator fan motor replaced recently (2 weeks ago)... the repairman said that was the problem but it seems that it wasn't. Any help would be appreciated!

Bad fan motor, no power to the fan motor, jammed with ice or frost...would have to be investigated. The service call should be covered by the service companies warranty since it was done under 30 days ago.

Since it worked for those 2 weeks, that was the problem...at that time.
Could simply be a bad new part, doesn't happen often but does happen.

Thanks! I just didn't think it could have gone bad... Is there something that could make it not turn on? I'll be doing the rest of the repairs myself.

Loose connection is very possible, jammed fan blade. The evaporator fan motor, condensor fan motor and compressor come on and go off together. Since two of the 3 work, the items that turn them on and off should be ok.

Okay now here's a question... Since the evaportator fan wasn't blowing... I removed it while waiting for the new one to come. I then reconnected it and now it's working?! Could it be an intermittent problem? Chris

Yes!
Bad connection ( esp small plug style ), seizing intermittantly.

This is the only style we use now....

Evaporator fan motor

We cut the wire connector off and add 1/4" terminals on the wires for the new fan motor.

Is the 2nd one an older (but probably more reliable) version? The tech said that it couldn't be "adapted" to mine... and I that I would have to have the 1st one shown?
