Hi.
I've got a JCD2389GT side by side. The unit was not cooling properly. I noticed the back panel of the freezer was frosted over. I removed the back panel, and coils were froozen over. It appears there's a problem with the auto defrost. Any suggestions on trouble shooting? Problem started after my cleaned the inside of the refrigerator side. |

Since you have the adaptive defrost control board on your model, this thread explains everything about this problem and what to check for and do:

Jake,
I saw the previous posting regarding replacing the Adaptive Defroster board. I bought one and the heating element/themosat as well and replaced all last night. The element was proably ok, but I didn't want to make two trips to the parts store and it's not returnable so I just went ahead and installed it. I exepect coils to be relatively ice free when I get home this evening. |

Sounds good, are they still ice free today?
