Default Maytag MZD2766GEQ no water or ice

We have a Maytag model MZD2766GE Q serial number 26937471CG. Drew a glass of water, when I came bace a few minutes later relays were clicking and light was flashing. Tried shutting power off to unit a couple of times. Light is now on steady. I was able to stop relays clicking by using the lock. Light still on. Unlock unit and relays start clicking light still on. If I select cubes or crushed ice there is a loud clunk.

Please help

Thanks

Jim

Its likely your water/ice dispenser control board is bad.

Here is the parts diagram for your model:
MZD2766GEQ
Diagram#3 part location#12 is your dispenser control board you can order.

Hi Jake:

Thank you for getting back to me. I let the thing just sit over night. It is now working correctly. We had the same problem about a year ago. If it continues to happen I will order and replace the board as you suggested. Does the board get replaced from the front of the door or do you need to work from inside the freezer door by removing the gasket and then the plastic housing?

Is this your company I would be ordering the board from. I feel that if you give out free advice the least we should do is order parts from you.

Thanks again

Jim

Hi Jim,

You replace it from the front.

No, I don't own the AppliancePartsPro company, but we are an affiliate of them. When you order a part online from them, we get a small percentage that goes back in our website costs to keep our site free of charge for everyone.
