Default water dispenser volume

Hi,

I just aqquired a Maytag Wide-by-Side Model # MZD2766GEW.

The water dispenser takes a good 39 seconds to fill an 8oz. drinking glass.

Is this normal for this unit? My old refrigerator did the same function in 5 seconds.

If this is normal, is there a procedure or modification I can perform to increase the flow rate?

Also, what should the cold water temperature be?

Any other modifications or suggestions about this refrig would be appreciated as I would like to get the most use out of it.

Thanks,

Thomas

Here is the parts diagram for your model:

Did you buy this refrigerator new?

Does the water just seem to have a slow stream coming out, without hardly any pressure behind it? If so, I would pull your refrigerator out, turn off the water supply to it, then take off the water line to it, and get a bucket/container to test the water pressure, by turning on the water supply and letting it run into the container, if still no pressure to speak of, then its likely in your water supply line plumbing.
