I have had a Maytag Performa for a 7+ Years and it just "died" on me. I have everything connected, but it whirs like normal start-up, but does not go past that point.

Model: Maytag Performa
Model No.: PYG2200AWW

Default here's an easy test

could be the belt, could be the motor.

Unhook the vent and open the door, spin the drum, you should feel air flow at the vent opening, if you don't, you probably need a new belt, if the belt is off or broken, the drum should be excessivle easy to turn, if it isn't, this is why the belt broke and that issue needs to be fixed before replacing the belt or the new one will break too.

If it's the motor,well that's a little harder, lets hope it's not

Good luck

Well, it was the motor. And it turns out I had a lint fire. So I bought a new dryer, thanks for the help. I'll be back again if I have problems again.
