Default Maytag Wide by Side Crisper Temperature Problem

I have model MZB2768GEW and the top crisper does not control temperature. There are buttons that select the product (meat, fruit, & produce). No matter what is selected, the temperature will go to 25 deg F. If I push the normal button (off), the temperature will go to the refrigerator temperature of 40 deg F. So the temperature display does work ok. How does this work? The electrical shows a damper and fan being controlled. Does the damper open and close to direct airflow? Could this just be stuck? How can I remove the drawer assy to get to the damper? I don't mind calling for a repair for a major issue, this is just more of a nuisance and would like to fix myself, if possible. I can order the whole crisper if I have to. Thanks for any info.

I went ahead and purchased a new crisper and now it is working. There is a cylinder shaped damper that opens and closes to regulate temperature. Either the motor or the pc card outputs went bad. I had made a mistake on the model number in the previous post and could not edit. It is MZD2768GEW.

Sounds good, glad that fixed it.

Do you have the part# of that crisper you replaced?

Jake, Just a couple of more notes. There is a similar crisper below the 4 button one that is 3 button (mid-3 button, no meat setting). I am fairly sure they are not interchangable. I was wondering because the 4 button is slightly cheaper and might be better to replace the 3 button if the 3 button went bad. Installing was very easy, just have to take care to not damage the styrofoam seal for the air inlet. Also there is a plastic flap on the air return that can easily be damage with your fingers if you lift the crisper incorrectly. Do you know if all of the controls on these use 120 VAC? I was going to cheater cord the damper power on the faulty one and see if it responds. Just curious. Thanks!

I'm not sure if all of the controls all use 120 VAC.
