Default melted plastic on glass rangetop

Hi everyone! my wife set a plastic container on a burner she had hot and melted the plastic to the glass. We scraped what we could with a plastic spatula and now the remainder is hard. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Merry Christmas Everyone!

Hi,

A razor blade usually does the trick, in fact they make a cleaning kit with the razor blade in it.

Thanks Jake, I didn't want to do something dumb and screw up the top. The razorblade worked very good. All cleaned off like new.Thanks again and Happy New Year.
