Default Gas cooktop leak problem

Hi:

I have a couple of questions:

1. The cooktop I have is called Cleveland cooking products, is it made by Maytag (hence I should search under Maytag when I look for parts)?

2. I suspect that the gas pressure regulator is leaking gas because when I connect the gas pipe directly (with the hedge screw) there is no leak. Does anyone know which part # it is (I got 3 different parts in partstore.com and partselect.com, and I'm not sure which one it should be).

Thanks in advance!

woot! Got the replacement regulator and installed. No more leaking and stove works well. This has officially stopped my grill diet since last week.

well the part # on partstore is 74007704. I'll check if there's a different part # for it.

Part#74007704

Partstore isn't one of our sponsors, but that link is the same part, plus if others need it they can order it. Its about $3 higher, but the good thing is our sponsors will give full refunds on any part ordered from our links here within 30 days, even if it was installed and it didn't fix the problem.
