Default anyone know of a relatively short, counter-depth fridge?

Hi all, this isn't a repair question but it is a question for people who know appliances, so I hope it's acceptable to ask here...I've been looking pretty hard to find an answer. The issue is this:

My old house - and old kitchen - has a refrigerator space that is counter depth, and 68"h x 36"w x 27"d. To my chagrin, apparently that's about 2 inches too short for any counter depth fridge I've been able to find. The cabinets are above, so there's really no wiggle room (maybe 1/4").

My fridge just died and the last thing I feel like doing for the next couple of years is remodeling my kitchen. I suppose I could buy a non-counter depth unit and let it stick into the room, but that would really look odd in the room.

If anyone has any advice I'd really appreciate it.

Best regards,
Drew

I've seen small refrigerators in almost every brand. Whirlpool will probably be your best bet, and since they own everything except G.E. I would start there. Try going to their web site and entering your criteria.

Hi Rick,

Thanks for the quick reply. I've checked out all the major brand websites, including whirlpool. The trick is in finding a full size fridge for a family of 5 (so at least 18 or 19 cf) that is 68" or less tall *and* counter depth (27").

Even seen anything like that?

Many thanks,
Drew
