Default Outdoor Refrigerator - when is it too cold?

Hi,

I have a recreation property that is rarely used in the winter. On this property is a non-insulated shed that has a full size refrigerator set up inside.

The average temperature low during the winter range is -10c (14f) and can on occasion reach extremes of -20c.(-4f). Mean temperature is -4c (23f)

Will I destroy the fridge by leaving it in the shed over winter? If not - should I leave it running or unplug it? Anything esle I need to think of?

thanks

A normal refrigerator won't work right in those cold temperatures.

Here's one that will, but its about $1000:

with an operating range from 0-115 degrees Fahrenheit.

I do not need the fridge to work over the winter months - I just want to do what I can to ensure it will work when we go back to the property in the spring.

Should I unplug it? Leave it Running? Wrap it in blankets? Remove it from the property?

Oh ok,

I'm not really sure, it would be better to just remove it from the property to store it in a warmer place.

You can email Jeff, he lives and has a appliance shop in Canada, he could probably answer this better than me.
