Default Samsung Refridgerator RS2533SW water filter

So the water filter for my Samsung fridge is $35. I was thinking, what if I just installed another (exterior, inline) filter that would have a replacement filter that costs less. Would that work?

Hi,

That's fairly cheap for a water filter. Most are $40-$80.00 dollars.

I didn't see one available ( bypass ) but is the filter could be removed and a bypass plug be installed....then an inline filter could be used in the water line comming to the refrigerator.

I couldn't find one in the parts list for your model...you will need to check a local Samsung depot to see if they are even avaialble for thier products.

Failing that you will need the regular filter in place.
These normally are changed every 6 months.
