I'm staying with a friend who has a 3 year old viking side by side built in refridgerator. I can not find the model number anywhere but it appears to be DDSB483 based on looking online.
It has wood panels on the doors to match the cabinetry. The problem is the doors will not stay closed now. You can close the door, but as soon as you let go they pop open 3-4 inches. As a result the fridge is unusable. She has had a tech out 3 times and cannot get the problem fixed. Now they won't return even calls. |

The only things that come to mind are either something inside preventing the doors from closing, or the bottom hinge plates are loose preventing the doors from closing properly. There was a bulletin on that very problem a couple years back pertaining to the use of overlay panels. Something must be binding that is common to both doors and I would have expected a professional tech to find the problem. Might want to call Viking and be sure to get an authorized servicer to solve your problem.
