KUIS155HLS0 kitchen aid icemaker
water circulating pump changed out twice but still won`t start. what should I TRY NEXT THE CONTROL BOARD OR WIRING HARNESS OR something else.
would a voltage meter work to see if the wires to the pump are hot?
the reservoir fills with water and compressor starts up

Hi goodeats,

I've never worked on these under-counter stand-alone ice makers models before, so hopefully another tech. or member that has can assist you.

If your pump is not getting power when it should (read the schematic for the time cycle) then you have a control board problem. No power to pump = control. I have never had to change a wiring harness on an ice machine, YET. The new style sends chills down my spine. . .

Default control board would make the pump powerless?

Would the control board make the pump powerless only.
Everything else seems fine the resevoir fills, compressor starts up, ice cutter heats up etc.

Yes. I think the relays on the control board are prone to failure. See this happen often with random components. Usually the pump or the condenser fan.

Good eats? Alton Brown is my favorite chief. And in New Orleans, didn't notice that at first. I'm in Mandeville and run calls over here on the north shore.

Default I will order a new control board!

before this old pump stopped for good it was making a hard grinding noise which might have led to the control board being damaged. this is the 3rd pump being replaced in 9 years. the chlorinated hard water just eats the guts out of the pumps.
I hope a new board works and will let you know what happens. too bad no company makes an undercounter ice flaker machine. my freezer already makes cubes but plaked ice is great for chewing and daquiris

its time for a replacement when the compressor dies
