Greetings,
I was wondering what the most user-friendly, easiest to service, easiest to own, easiest for DIY repairs Refer is ? I am thinking about your typical refer... one with both a refer and a freezer... How about one where the "cabinet" is completely separable from the Refrigeration System .... without cutting into the refrigeration system ? Or... How about one where the refrigeration system and all moving parts are mounted inside a drawer and the whole drawer can be slid out from under the refrigerator cabinet ? Obviously, I know nothing about the industry.... maybe most refrigerators are already made this way.... or maybe I am just dreaming .... Maybe, there are commercial models that fit this description ? Any thoughts you have on the subject would be interesting to hear ! |

Kenmore models starting with 106 and 253
Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Maytag, Frigidaire, GE, Amana are all serviceable friendly. The foreign brands like LG, Samsung, Bosch are not serviceable friendly. The Built-in refrigerators have the compressor on top, which is much harder to service. The normal consumer refrigerators all have the compressor in the back on the bottom which are much easier to service. Jake
