Default Drip from water dispenser after changing filter

Hi folks,

I hope someone here may be able to help me.

I have an LG fridge/freezer with an ice/water dispenser. All was working ok, until today, when I changed the filter.

All went well, filter is on, in correct flow direction, no leaks. I have ran through, what must be at least 30 pints of water, to clear the tubes, and hopefully to purge any air from system. Unfortunately I now have a small drip from the dispenser, not much but, maybe a couple of drips per hour.

Thinking that it was all ok until the filter change, I assume it must be something that Ive done, or not done during the installation. I searched the forum, and found the advice to run through at least 10 glasses of water to purge air from system, this I have done, as I said, at least 30 pints of water. I have made sure the supply pipe is fully turned on at the connecting valve, so the pressure should be ok (I've read that low pressure could cause the shut off valve in the dispenser not to close fully).

I now think that it may be the filter that isnt correct, and that maybe that is restricting the pressure, so that the shut off valve isnt closing. Is this possible?

The original filter for my fridge is a BL-9808, but when looking for a replacement, I got one here http://www.pozzani.co.uk/water-filte...duct_info.html

As you can see, it isnt a BL-9808, but supposedly a direct replacement, a GS10J.

So, my question is, does anyone think that this filter may be the cause of the problem, or have i possibly screwed something else up during the change?

Any advise, greatly appreciated

Regards

Gairloch
