Changed the Adaptive Defrost control Board And now the defroster works. It was completely defrosted when board was installed.the Passage way is clear at the lower end of fridge and there is cold air coming through a vent on the topinside fridge. The Fan is working. The Freezer is making ice.I'm thinking the control fortemp in fridge somehow not doing it's job.temp in fridge is approx 50 and set to coldest.Freezer is set at about 70% coldest setting .........Any help is appreciated .....No Ice on Back Of Freezer =)

Hi,

Light(s) going off when the door is closed?

**the Passage way is clear at the lower end of fridge and there is cold air coming through a vent on the topinside fridge. The Fan is working**

Fan working fast enough? Those air ducts can stick and not open 100%. Door closing ok?

Hmmmmmmm

Yeah The Light Goes off .

Pulled the cover off lower vent in an attempt to improve air flow.

the Door had a good hitch but adjusted hinge.Still has small hitch but seals good.

How would I tell if the fan speed was low?

I'm leaning toward not opening 100%

The Board as been installed roughly 30hrs and @ coldest setting temp in fridge is @50 degrees and almost nothing in there.

whats next or do I cut my losses?

**How would I tell if the fan speed was low?**

You or someone would have to inspect the fans operations, these operate around 2600-3000 RPM's normally.

**I'm leaning toward not opening 100%**

Check air damper control on the left side ( normally - no full model# posted ) back of the control assembly.

Msd 2756 aew Maytag

that's the control I was thinking was giving me a problem since I can't see what it does.

It's attached to the temp cntrl knob and is sealed I believe, has a coil that comes out of it.

I can see that it's attached but can't tell what it does.

I'm going to go remove that cover again and see if I can't tell how it attaches to a damper so I can see if it is fully open
