Northland compressor
We have a 15 year old Northland built-in refrigerator. The compressor is worn out and needs to be replaced.
A replacement will cost ~$1500 and a new refrigerator will cost $5000.
My question is...
We don't believe in being wasteful in terms of natural resources or money. We like the refrigerator and it has no other major problems. If we replace the compressor, how much of the important working parts in the refrigerator does that represent? We would like to know that, if we replace it, we should be able to count on the refrigerator lasting several more years.
Please let us know what you'd recommend.
Thank you.
