Long story short, my tenant had a leaky fridge and thanks to your forum, I was able to diagnosed it with a clogged drain pipe. I managed to clear the drain pipe and the fridge is working fine now. However, when working on the fridge, I removed the floor of the freezer to access the drain pipe. After replacing the floor of the freezer, I noticed one of the screws was not screwing down properly (e.g. it was loose and would not tighten). Since there were 5 other screws already tightened, I just ignored this screw and removed it. It was only after I left that I remembered that a green wire with a loop at the end attached to the screw that I did not replace. I'm assuming the green wire is a grounding wire. Was it necessary that I attach it to the screw, or is it fine if I leave it the way it is now (not really attached to anything). Or should the wire be attached to something else other than the screw? Thanks in advance.

Hi jermyzy,
You're correct, it's a ground wire. Thats ok if you didn't connect it. It won't hurt anything if it's off. Rick
