Default Refrigerator in Garage

I live in San Antonio Tx and have a refrig in my garage. I noticed that the real coils were very hot. Is this OK or should I be concerned? If I place a fan near the coils will this help/hurt the situation. Thanks

Hi joek266,

If you have a static condenser (coils on back of refrigerator) hot is ok. If you have the coils under the refrigerator, make sure the're clean and the condenser fan is working. Are you having problem with the refrigerator cooling? If you are, I need the make and model #.

Rick

Thanks Rick. Not having a garage (beer) refrigerator before, I didn't know that hot coils were OK.
