Default Kenmore Dehumidifier

I have a 5 year old Kenmore dehumidifier that is acting up. Since the moisture level in my area is on the rise for spring I recently plugged the unit in, and it ran for about a minute then stopped. It has not come back on since then, unless I unplug it and plug it back in. I have it set to it's highest level since it is in my basement. I do not know the model number as I cannot find it on the outside of the case... any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jon

Hi Jon,

I haven't really worked on any dehumidifiers to assist you, but possibly another tech. or member that has and seen this problem can tell you whats wrong.

Jake

Different brand, but I am having the exact same problem. Ran fine all summer long last year. This season- nothing! The fan and compressor operate but only for about 2-5 minutes and then nothing until unplugging power. Have you made any headway on this Jon?
