Kenmore Dehumidifier tripping breaker
Hello,
We have a 5 yo Kenmore dehumidifier that suddenly started to trip the breaker that it is on. Runs for about 2 min then kicks the breaker. The outlet is 15 amp, the dehumidifer is 8amp (Model 580.53701300). I tried a vacuum (12 amp) and my grinder (3 amp) on the same outlet together and they did not trip the breaker so I am guessing that there is a short in the dehumidifier. We had the whole breaker panel replaced a few years ago. Our basement is damp (hence the dehumidifier) and the unit shows some signs of rust. Appreciate your thoughts. Thanks. Dan
