Default Kenmore Oven Won't Heat

ok, i have a kenmore range model 362.75980891 and the OVEN won't heat. weird cause i haven't gotten any "F" codes or anything. i rarely use the oven as i have a countertop one that's used daily. i have used it maybe 10 times in 7 years but with thanksgiving coming, we tried it today and it didnt heat at all. digital thermometer (on the top panel) stayed at 100 degrees. the 4 stovetop burners work fine. they are used daily. when i turn the oven on bake, broil, clean, nothing happends. nothing glows, clicks, turns on, smells... nothing. i have a voltmeter (not really sure how to use it , but im sure i can get the basics on the phone from my brother (electrician) if i get some general instructions as to where to start looking for the problem. thanks for any advice as to where to start looking for the problem! Bill.

Hi Bill,

You would need to check for 120 volts at your oven igniter.

This link should help:

thanks Jake.. do you know off hand if there are two igniter's on this range? it has one on the top oven (i think to broil), and in the drawer section, there seems to be another one, but im not sure since there is a metal "shield" covering the top of thd drawer section. thanks. does it matter which igniter i test since neither seems to be working? thanks again. Bill.

You would need to take off your bottom oven panel#210 here:
http://www3.sears.com/imaging/ImageP...&titleID=00003

#28 here is your oven igniter glow bar:
http://www3.sears.com/imaging/ImageP...&titleID=00001
#218 is your broil igniter glow bar.

Take your burner shield#219 off to get to the oven igniter in the bottom.

It doesn't matter which one you test first.

checked broil igniter, nothing.. checked the wires going into the back control panel at bake and broil (red and blue wires with the white neutral wire) still nothing.. the clock, stove burners, digital reading is all working, so i know the control panel is getting power.. checked the outlet too got 120. ideas? thanks again.

i might be getting power off another line (neutral) when testing the back control panel. where are all the wires going (in back down the right side of the oven).. is there a terminal block down there somewhere i should be testing.. so at this point. im getting no power to either igniter, but i do get contiuity to the gas valve.

Ok, then if you tested voltage at both igniter glow bars and your not getting any voltage when they are on, then its likely your control board thats out.

Here's the control board for your model:
