Item dropped in Lint Vent
Hello:
I have a Kenmore series 80 Gas Dryer. I had the lint screen out, when a screw or something rolled down the lint vent. I've tried everything to get it out and am too scared to try to take the dryer apart. Can I run the dryer with something down there? Please help!

Is your lint vent on the top of your dryer, or inside the door?
Whats the model# of your dryer? Its located inside the door.
If your lint vent is on top of your dryer, here's a help link to remove it:

Unfortunately, there wouldn't be any other easier way than to take it apart.
Maybe one of your family members or friends can help you thats mechanically inclined.

Model Number
Hi Jake:
Thanks for responding. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like I can unscrew the back part of the dryer as indicated in the instructions you sent me. I must have a different model. The number under MOD inside the dryer door reads: 110.74852400
Does this help?? Thanks!
Also, until I get it out, can I run the dryer? Please let me know. Thanks!

Yes, on your model, you can take the back off, #5 here is the back panel:

The screws#6 come out.
Yes, you can still use your dryer if its not making any strange noises.
