Default Kenmore 80 series won't fill...

I'm having some trouble with my washer, model 110.27812692. It won't fill normally during the wash. It seems the only way to fill is to cycle the level control switch between small/large load, then the tub will fill. Once it does fill, the water level looks low to be on the high setting. When filling, the water flow looks normal, so I don't suspect water pressure issues.

Any ideas? Would this be a good DIY project for a newbie?

THANKS

Hi,

Sounds like you have a bad pressure switch, but i would first check to see if something is obstructing the air dome by blowing into that clear rubber hose that connects to the pressure switch with the tub empty.

Its not to hard to check this, just open the console:

Then Pull forward and up on the console and you can hinge it open, hanging from the hinges.
